Surat Inspection Finds 209 Hotels and 34 Dhaba Violations, Issues Fines

Surat’s municipal health division, together with food‑safety officers, inspected 209 hotel‑restaurants and 34 dhabas. Inspectors seized 548 kg of unsafe food, served notices to 128 establishments, and collected fines totaling ₹4,43,800. Forty‑three outlets with critical breaches were ordered to close immediately.
