Supreme Court urged to oversee impartial probe into Ram Temple funds

Avdhesh Prasad, a Member of Parliament from Ayodhya, appealed to the highest court of India to supervise a transparent investigation into the alleged misappropriation of offerings at the Ram Temple. He stressed that the matter involves millions of worshippers and must be handled with utmost fairness.

Prasad proposed that a special investigative committee be formed, with its findings reviewed under the watch of the Supreme Court. He further suggested that any trust members implicated in the case be suspended pending the outcome of the inquiry.

The MP argued that the issue has already sparked nationwide debate, with citizens questioning the integrity of the trust’s handling of valuable contributions. He invoked a verse from poet Goswami Tulsidas, emphasizing that justice must prevail when religious sentiments are at risk.
