Students Nationwide Protest Exam System as Hooda Condemns Police Action

During recent demonstrations led by students across several Indian states, former chief minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda condemned alleged police brutality. He affirmed that peaceful protest on matters of public interest is a constitutional right for every citizen and representative.

Hooda praised the students’ demands for an overhaul of the examination framework, describing them as “wholly legitimate.” He accused authorities of opting for lathi‑charges instead of dialogue, and pledged that the Congress will stand by the protestors.

The leader also warned that the government’s reluctance to engage with student concerns may trigger further unrest, urging policymakers to adopt a consultative approach rather than force.
