Student Voice Forum in Chennai Draws Thousands as Rahul Gandhi Engages Youth

The Student Voice forum in Chennai saw a massive turnout as Rahul Gandhi took the stage to interact with students from across the state. Prior to his appearance, the opposition leader held a private meeting with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay at the Nilankarai official residence, reviewing issues ranging from curriculum reforms to job creation for graduates.

The forum, hosted at the island grounds, aims to spotlight student grievances such as exam malpractice, paper leakage, soaring education expenses and the scarcity of decent employment opportunities. While registration numbers topped one lakh, venue capacity was limited to 10,000 credentialed participants.

Organisers have provided large outdoor screens, enabling crowds outside the main hall to view the proceedings. Facilities including drinking water stations, clean toilets and seating for roughly 350 education officials were set up to support the event.

After concluding his remarks, Gandhi is expected to confer with senior Congress officials and other political stakeholders before heading back to the capital.
