Student Leaders Threaten Assembly Siege Over Prolonged Hunger Strike

Student leader Devendra Nath Mahato continues an indefinite hunger strike, demanding immediate resolution of the grievances related to the alleged exam malpractice. Protesters warned that if their demands are not addressed promptly, they will encircle the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on August 6.

The activists argue that recurring irregularities in the JPSC and Jharkhand Subordinate Service Commission (JSSC) examinations jeopardise the futures of deserving candidates and diminish public trust in the recruitment mechanism. Their ongoing demonstrations aim to pressure authorities into implementing transparent corrective measures.
