Statewide Farmer Debt Waiver Releases ₹5,028 Cr for 6.22 Lakh Beneficiaries

Across Maharashtra, the Ahilyadevi Holkar scheme has already completed Aadhaar verification for approximately 6,22,000 eligible farmers. A total of ₹5,028 crore has been credited to their loan accounts, clearing pending dues and opening the path for fresh Kharif crop financing. The large‑scale waiver is expected to reduce default risks, improve credit access, and strengthen the agricultural sector throughout the state.
