State Announces Welfare Calendar and Monthly Initiatives to Boost Public Services

During the second day of the collectors’ conference, Andhra Pradesh’s chief minister unveiled a comprehensive welfare calendar designed to inform the public about the timing of various government schemes. The calendar will list key dates such as the release of food rations, pension payments, and other subsidies, helping beneficiaries plan their finances more effectively.

In addition to the calendar, Naidu introduced a series of monthly programmes: the first of each month will feature the “Pedala Sevalo” initiative, focusing on targeted welfare actions; the ninth will host “Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku,” aimed at extensive land‑record updates and verification; the third Saturday each month will be dedicated to “Swachh Andhra‑Swarn Andhra,” a cleanliness drive; and the fourth Saturday will see the launch of the “Sanjeevani” digital health‑record platform to streamline citizen health data.

These measures complement the chief minister’s broader push for the “One Family, One Entrepreneur” scheme, which seeks to turn five lakh women into entrepreneurs and improve educational outcomes for students living in hostels.

Naidu also stressed the importance of field visits by secretaries and collectors, stating that direct interaction with the public provides vital feedback for better governance. He warned that any pending files must be cleared online within thirty days, praising officials who achieve clearance in less than two days while reprimanding those who lag.

The chief minister’s speech concluded with a call for all departments to adopt a positive, value‑driven approach to societal development, reinforcing the state’s commitment to inclusive growth.
