State Leadership Highlights Pension Boosts and Health Mission Incentives on Independence Day

At the state‑wide Independence Day function in Barser, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu detailed a series of financial benefits for former staff and health workers. The pension scheme will see a 35 percent increase for Class‑3 retirees and a 15 percent rise for Class‑1 and Class‑2 pensioners, covering arrears dating back to 2016‑2021.

Under the National Health Mission, monthly incentives for 9,000 Asha workers will rise from ₹5,800 to ₹6,800. Employees who have completed seven years of service after the recent salary restructuring will receive the revised pay from April 1. Outsourced staff such as nurses, pharmacists, OT assistants and lab technicians will see their monthly honorarium rise to ₹25,000, while data entry operators will get ₹18,000. These revised rates will be effective from September 1.
