State Officials Mobilize Relief for Flood‑Hit Areas Near India‑Nepal Border

Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh have activated emergency response teams following the flash floods that swept across the Nepalese border. Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa announced that rescue squads, along with medical teams, are on standby to assist families displaced by the disaster. In Uttar Pradesh, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna warned that the glacial melt triggered by the floods could have long‑term effects on adjoining districts, urging local authorities to remain vigilant. Both states have set up relief camps and are distributing food packets, clean water and blankets to those who have fled the inundated villages.
