State Officials Convene to Accelerate Road Restoration in Flood‑Hit Palghar
After a spell of extreme rainfall, Palghar district’s road network suffered extensive damage. To address the situation, Maharashtra’s Public Works Minister Shivendraraje Bhosale held a coordination meeting with senior officials on Saturday.
The minister’s on‑site inspection covered critical routes such as Monor‑Maswan‑Palghar, Palghar‑Saravali‑Boisar, and the Boisar‑Chinchani‑Dahanu highway. Findings from the visit were presented to the district collector, senior police officers, and chief engineers of the Public Works Department.
In the meeting, officials reviewed the status of ongoing road development projects, identified bottlenecks caused by monsoon damage, and set new milestones for repair work. The minister ordered the deployment of additional machinery and manpower to speed up the process while maintaining strict quality standards.
He affirmed that the state government remains fully committed to strengthening Palghar’s infrastructure, ensuring that residents receive safe and uninterrupted road connectivity as quickly as possible.
