State Ministers Express Condolences on Death of Music Legend S. Janaki

Two senior ministers of the Andhra Pradesh government, Nara Lokesh and Kinjarapu Achannaidu, posted messages on social platform X to mourn the loss of S. Janaki Garu. Lokesh noted that the singer had rendered more than 48,000 songs, enchanting listeners for over six decades, and called her demise an irreparable blow to the film industry. Achannaidu described Janaki as a "pole star" of South Indian film music, praising her unparalleled talent and affirming that her immortal tracks will survive across generations. Both leaders prayed for the repose of her soul and extended sympathy to her kin.
