State Minister Tiwari Says Projects Like Metro and Roads Will Ensure NDA Success in Bankipur

Patna, July 7 – The race for the Bankipur Assembly seat is intensifying, with the ruling NDA banking on major infrastructure initiatives. State Minister Mithilesh Tiwari told reporters that the metro line, four‑lane corridors and other civic projects have created a development wave that will translate into votes. He highlighted that women, who traditionally lean towards the NDA, will continue to support its candidate, noting the RJD’s past failures with female contenders.

On the ongoing Bharat Tiwari encounter case, Tiwari confirmed that a judicial investigation ordered by the chief minister is already in progress. He appealed for restraint from making premature statements, stressing that the family deserves justice based on the investigation’s findings.

Tiwari also shared his experience of touring several states, analyzing both BJP‑run and opposition‑run welfare schemes. He expressed a desire to bring the most successful initiatives to Bihar, accelerating the state’s development trajectory.

BJP state president Sanjay Sarawgi spoke about the resignation of senior officials from the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, linking it to the Uttar Pradesh government's crackdown on alleged irregularities related to the temple’s construction. He defended the Citizenship Amendment Act, describing it as a law that grants citizenship to eligible religious minorities who entered India before 2014.

Addressing the Jan Suraj Party’s candidate Prashant Kishor, Sarawgi reiterated that Bankipur has long been an NDA stronghold thanks to the extensive development of roads, parks, four‑lane highways and the metro. He concluded that the electorate’s appreciation of these projects will ensure another NDA victory.
