State Leaders Call for Modern Integration of Ayurveda in Health Systems

On the occasion of National Ayurveda Day, chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from four states issued statements urging the fusion of Ayurvedic wisdom with present‑day medical frameworks. Delhi’s chief minister highlighted ongoing projects to expand state‑run Ayush facilities, aiming to make traditional therapies accessible to every resident.

Uttarakhand’s chief minister stressed that Ayurveda embodies a complete lifestyle approach, aligning diet, activity, and mental health with nature’s rhythms. He praised the central government’s efforts, such as the Ayushman Bharat health centres and educational initiatives, that are scaling Ayurvedic services nationwide.

Rajasthan’s top officials encouraged citizens to adopt Ayurvedic daily habits, citing the potential for reduced disease burden and improved public health outcomes. Their messages also called for increased funding for research colleges and clinical trials.

Uttar Pradesh’s deputy chief minister noted the growing collaboration between Ayurvedic institutions and modern hospitals, emphasizing the role of innovation in preserving India’s therapeutic legacy while meeting contemporary health challenges.
