State government reallocates senior bureaucrats to boost administrative efficiency in UP

Lucknow, 4 August – The Uttar Pradesh administration rolled out a major personnel reshuffle on Tuesday, moving thirteen senior IAS officers into new roles and installing fresh divisional commissioners in four districts. Officials say the changes are designed to tighten administrative oversight and accelerate the delivery of services.

Anil Dhingra, who had been the Divisional Commissioner of Gorakhpur, is now appointed as Housing Commissioner, Director of Urban Land Survey, and Secretary of the Housing & Urban Planning Department under the State Housing and Development Council. The Gorakhpur division is handed over to Inder Vikram Singh, previously the Secretary of Agriculture.

Agriculture Secretary Ravindra retains his existing duties and takes on the added charge of Director of the State Agricultural Produce Market Council. Vaibhav Srivastava, formerly Managing Director of the Power Corporation Development Fund (P C D F), assumes the post of Divisional Commissioner of Basti. Home and Vigilance Department Secretary Prakash Bindu becomes the new Managing Director of P C D F.

In Bareilly, Divisional Commissioner Bhupendra S. Chaudhary is reassigned as Secretary of the Administrative Reform Department, while Shambhu Kumar, ex‑Managing Director of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited, steps in as the new Divisional Commissioner.

Dr. Lokesh M., the Public Works Department Secretary, is now the Divisional Commissioner of Prayagraj. Sonia Rawat, formerly the Prayagraj Divisional Commissioner, is transferred to the post of Labor Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh. Judicial Member of the Prayagraj Revenue Council, Sandeep Kumar, is appointed Managing Director of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited.

Pankaj Raj Singh, Secretary of the Gorakhpur Development Authority, takes up the role of Additional Chief Executive Officer of Noida. In a reciprocal shift, Noida’s Additional CEO Satish Pal is deployed as Special Secretary of the Home Department. Housing Commissioner Dr. Balkar Singh has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSID).
