State Allocates Over ₹19 crore for Expansion of Neem Karoli Baba’s Sacred Sites

Uttar Pradesh’s tourism ministry disclosed that a cumulative total of more than INR 19 crore has been approved for the enlargement of Neem Karoli Baba’s holy sites. The budget, spread over the 2023‑24, 2025‑26 and current fiscal years, covers land acquisition, construction of pilgrim amenities, and the development of a four‑lane stretch of NH‑2.

The 2.24‑acre parcel surrounding Akbarpur’s birthplace will be turned into a fully‑fledged dhama with sanctified halls, accommodation, and cultural exhibits. Parallel work is underway at the taposthali in Faridabad, which is situated a few kilometres from the Sankisa Buddhist shrine, and at the samadhi site in Vrindavan.

Minister Singh emphasized that these investments reflect the government’s commitment to safeguarding spiritual heritage while fostering tourism‑driven growth. He urged devotees and tourists alike to visit the newly upgraded locations, promising a blend of devotion and modern convenience.
