Stakeholders Have Until Nov 16 to File Statements in MPSC Leak Probe

The Maharashtra government has set up a judicial commission to look into alleged irregularities and paper leaks linked to nine competitive examinations held by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). An official notification issued on Thursday confirmed the move.

The deadline for stakeholders, including candidates and students, to submit their statements is November 16.

Retired Allahabad High Court Chief Justice Dilip Bhosale will lead the commission. The panel has been asked to carry out a thorough examination of document leaks, significant disclosures and other alleged irregularities. Tukaram Mundhe, Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), will function as the panel's member-secretary.

The examinations under scrutiny were conducted between 2023 and 2026. They include the Drug Inspector Group-B examination (2025), the Maharashtra Group-B (non-gazetted) Services Combined Preliminary and Main Examination (2025), the Maharashtra Group-C Services Combined Preliminary and Main Examination (2025), the Maharashtra Agriculture Services Main Examination (2024), the Food and Drug Administration Services Main Examination (2023), the Maharashtra Civil Engineering Services Main Examination (2025) and the Maharashtra Electrical Engineering Services Main Examination (2025).

Anyone holding relevant evidence or details, including candidates, students and registered organisations, must submit a formal affidavit in Marathi or English on or before November 16, 2026. Affidavits can be delivered to Room No. 201, Second Floor, FDA Bhavan, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Bandra (East), Mumbai, or emailed through the official website.

Each affidavit should carry a valid identity proof along with self-attested supporting documents. The commission has assured that all statements will remain fully confidential. After reviewing the submissions, the panel will decide whether to summon specific deponents as witnesses.
