Special Train, Drone Show Highlight Tripura's Grand Diwali Event

Tripura’s iconic Sundari Temple is gearing up for a three‑day Diwali extravaganza that promises to draw more than one million visitors. The inauguration, scheduled for Sunday evening, will be led by Chief Minister Manik Saha. Highlights include a high‑tech drone performance, a sandstone sculpture of the temple on a turtle, and extensive exhibition stalls that celebrate local art, food, and traditions. To ease travel, Northeast Frontier Railway will operate a special train on the opening day. The temple, rebuilt at a cost exceeding 54 crore rupees with contributions from both the central and state governments, was previously inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2025.
