SP Leaders Question Government Infrastructure Projects Amid FCRA Bill Debate

Samajwadi Party representatives raised concerns about the government’s infrastructure priorities while debating the FCRA amendment. Akhilesh Yadav asked the administration to justify why new airports were being constructed in flood‑prone zones and why expressways were riddled with potholes shortly after inauguration.

He linked these shortcomings to a broader narrative of mismanagement, suggesting that the same lack of foresight was evident in the rushed passage of the FCRA bill. Fellow SP MP Avadhesh Prasad echoed these points, stating that the parliament has previously passed laws that later proved ineffective or impractical, and warned that passing the FCRA amendment without thorough debate could repeat that pattern.
