SP Leaders Denied Entry to Bareilly Following Recent Unrest

Following the unrest in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, on September 26th, the city is under heavy security. A delegation from the Samajwadi Party (SP), led by the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly and senior party leader, Mata Prasad Pandey, was scheduled to visit Bareilly today to assess the situation. However, the administration has denied them permission to enter. Police have been deployed outside Mata Prasad Pandey’s residence in Lucknow. The PGI police station has issued a notice prohibiting their visit to Bareilly.
