South Kolkata Political Office Breached, Damage Reported by Trinamool Cadre

Authorities in Kolkata reported a break‑in at the Mamata All India Trinamool Congress office in Jadavpur on Sunday night. The perpetrators broke the main door, toppling a sofa and shattering a water jug. Party workers said the Trinamool banner on the wall was ripped and strewn across the floor. The incident mirrors an attack that took place a day earlier on former Trinamool MLA Debabrata Mazumdar’s house and office, also situated in Jadavpur. The Trinamool faction alleges that the vandals are backed by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, a charge the BJP has publicly denied, attributing the episode to internal party rivalries. The police have recorded an FIR, examined CCTV recordings, and are seeking witnesses, but no arrests have been made.
