Socialist Party rebukes BJP after Irani's remarks, calls out Rahul Gandhi

The Samajwadi Party responded sharply to the recent exchange between Smriti Irani and Danis Azad. Spokesperson Ashutosh Verma accused Irani of misunderstanding her opponent, claiming she tried to boost her own stature by targeting senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

Verma highlighted that a regular Congress worker defeated Irani in a recent contest, implying that the BJP’s focus on personal attacks distracts from genuine issues. He warned that once Irani recovers from the “shock,” the party should return to discussing real development concerns for the people of Uttar Pradesh.
