Social media post slams police and BJP over Meerut student killing

Akhilesh Yadav took to the micro‑blogging platform X and posted a stark message targeting the police and the ruling party. He wrote, “When the very hand that should hold the leash is itself out of control, who can be trusted?”

He went on to describe the handling of the Dalit girl’s murder as "the peak of injustice," accusing senior police officials of feeding an “arrogant narrative” that harms ordinary citizens.

Yadav added that videos circulating online have already tarnished the Uttar Pradesh police’s image, and that honest officers feel embarrassed by the department’s public failings.
