New Leadership Assigned to Six Kisan Morcha Zones in Uttar Pradesh
A comprehensive re‑organisation of the BJP’s Kisan Morcha in Uttar Pradesh was announced on October 12, assigning 77 district heads across the state’s six organisational zones. The move follows a directive from state president Pankaj Chauhan and is expected to streamline farmer‑centric programmes.
The Western zone now includes Rishi Pandey (Rampur), Sanjeev Malik (Shamlipur), Arun Pratap Singh (Saharanpur city), Akshay Bhadana (Meerut city), Devendra Yadav (Ghaziabad city) and Mukta Nand Sharma (Noida city). Braj’s roster lists Ravi Rajput for Agra, Satendra Yadav for Bareilly, Vijay Chauhan for Shahjahanpur city and Sharad Pal for Pilibhit.
In the Kanpur zone, Shailendra Singh has been tasked with Kanpur North, Ajay Pratap Singh with Kanpur South, Devendra Rai with Jhansi city and Amit Singh (also known as Chunnmun) with Amirpur. The Awadh sector names Jitendra Singh for Lucknow city and Vimalesh Mishra for Lucknow district, while Anurag Tripathi and Kamal Bajpai take charge of Ayodhya and Unnao respectively.
Kashi’s new heads are Rajendra Singh Patel for Varanasi city, Dhananjay Chaubey for Ghazipur, Manjit Kushwaha for Prayagraj city and Kalisahay Pathak for Sultanpur. Gorakhpur completes the list with Jitendra Saini (Gorakhpur city), Kashipati Shukla (Deoria), Abhijit Tiwari (Babli) for Balia and Varun Kumar Pandey for Basti.
Analysts view the reshuffle as a strategic effort to fortify the party’s rural base, ensuring that each district has a dedicated point of contact for farmer issues and election‑related activities.
