Six bank officials and others charged as CBI pursues massive fund siphoning case

The ongoing investigation also covers two additional cases connected to the Union Territory of Chandigarh. One involves CSCL and the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, while the other concerns the Chandigarh Renewable Energy and Science & Technology Promotion Society (CREST). CBI has already filed charge sheets in both matters. In the CSCL case, five bank officers, a CSCL official and a private individual have been named as accused. In the CREST case, five bank officers, two CREST officials, four private persons and two companies face charges. The agency emphasized its commitment to bringing every responsible party to justice and tracing the full trail of misappropriated public funds.
