Sinha Claims TMC Hid Black Money, Promises Development Through Centre Schemes
Kolkata, 11 July – Rahul Sinha, a senior BJP lawmaker from West Bengal, accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of concealing massive amounts of unaccounted wealth. Referring to alleged black‑money caches linked to senior party figures, Sinha said that investigative agencies are poised to bring the truth to light, and the real figure could be far higher than currently speculated.
Sinha linked the hidden wealth to the state’s deteriorating law‑and‑order situation, claiming that corruption has fostered an environment where crime thrives. He highlighted the need for robust enforcement measures, reiterating his support for the West Bengal Public Safety and Control of Anti‑Social Activities Bill as a tool to dismantle criminal networks.
During a visit to Barui pur with Chief Minister Sovan Chandra, Sinha underscored the BJP’s humanitarian outreach, meeting families affected by violence and offering assistance. He contrasted this approach with what he described as the TMC’s neglect of basic welfare.
The MP also drew attention to the persistent exclusion of West Bengal citizens from the Ayushman Bharat health programme, noting that other Indian states have successfully leveraged the scheme. He urged prompt, comprehensive implementation to ensure that no needy individual is denied essential medical care.
Sinha concluded by asserting that the combination of stringent law‑enforcement legislation and the effective rollout of central welfare schemes will accelerate Bengal’s socio‑economic progress, positioning the state among the nation’s leading examples of peace and development.
