State Announces Silent Zone Consideration and Youth Employment for Lion Tracking in Palitana

The minister disclosed that the government is evaluating the declaration of the Shatrunjaya area as a ‘silent zone’ to minimise human disturbance that could provoke lion attacks. In addition, the forest department will repair pilgrimage pathways, making climbs safer while respecting environmental concerns. Local youths will receive training to operate drones and assist in lion tracking, strengthening community involvement in conservation efforts.
