Bus Hits Car in Sidhi; Family Members Among Dead

Tragedy struck in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district on Friday when a speeding bus collided with an oncoming car, leaving three people dead and a girl gravely injured.

According to police, the car was moving from Sidhi toward Rampur Naikin when the bus came from the front. The crash occurred near the Behda curve in Amarpur, within the Churhat police station jurisdiction.

The force of the collision was extreme, and the three people travelling in the car died at the scene. A girl seated in the same car was badly hurt and remains in serious condition.

Nearby residents immediately dialled the Dial-112 emergency number and called for an ambulance. Police and a medical team reached the accident site shortly afterwards.

Doctors at Churhat hospital confirmed that three people had died. The victims were named as Anil Tiwari, Manorama Tiwari and Sudhir Tiwari.

The injured child told officials her name was Moina alias Rani Tiwari and that she is eight years old. Given the severity of her injuries, she has been referred to a facility offering better treatment.

Police said Anil and Manorama were husband and wife, and Sudhir Tiwari was Anil's cousin. All three were from Devri Kala village under Ramnagar police station in Maihar district.

The family had travelled to Sidhi and was returning to Maihar when the accident happened. Panic spread through the area as people gathered and cries filled the surroundings.

A case has been filed and police have started an investigation. Officials are looking into what caused the crash and whether any traffic rules were broken. The bodies have been sent for postmortem.

Residents have voiced worry about the safety of this stretch, saying many accidents have taken place there in the past. Police have requested drivers to be especially careful on sharp curves and busy inter-district roads.
