Shri Ram College celebrates 100 years with Prime Minister's speech

Delhi’s Shri Ram College of Commerce will commemorate its 100th anniversary on September 5 with a special appearance by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ceremony, beginning at 7 p.m., will include a keynote address to faculty, alumni, and current students.

Founded by visionary industrialist Sir Shri Ram in 1926, SRCC has become a cornerstone of commerce, economics, and management studies in India. The institution has nurtured countless professionals who have gone on to lead in academia, industry, and government.

The centenary celebration coincides with the national Teacher’s Day, reinforcing the college’s dedication to honoring educators. Reports suggest that after delivering his speech, the Prime Minister will open a forum for students to share their thoughts and aspirations.

Modi’s earlier interaction with SRCC dates back to 2013 during his tenure as Gujarat’s chief minister, making this visit a continuation of a long‑standing relationship between the leader and the college.
