Shirsat dismisses 'Garjana Morcha' as a T‑shirt gimmick

Shiv Sena minister Sanjay Shirsat ridiculed the Thackeray brothers' "Garjana Morcha" as a mere publicity stunt centred around matching T‑shirts. Speaking from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Shirsat said the event generated more chatter about the two siblings appearing together than about any substantive demand.

He described the coordinated T‑shirt distribution as a "publicity stunt" designed to create photo‑ops rather than to challenge the Election Commission or Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Shirsat asked which political party backed the march and whether the protest was led by Uddhav or Raj Thackeray.

The minister further questioned the relevance of the opposition's demands, noting that no major party had offered support and that the rally was unlikely to gain traction. He suggested that if the leaders were serious about reform, they should focus on genuine issues rather than staging staged photo‑sessions.
