Shinde highlights infrastructure projects and farmer relief measures
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde used his council address to showcase the state’s infrastructure milestones and agricultural support schemes. He cited the completion of 50‑55 percent of sowing operations, the allocation of funds for crop loss compensation, snail‑damage reimbursement and loan waivers up to two lakh rupees per farmer.
Shinde also described special arrangements for the annual pilgrimage to Pandharpur and Alandi, including toll exemptions, deployment of 5,500 state transport buses, mobile toilets, health facilities and air‑ambulance services. He emphasized that the missing‑link segment of the Mumbai‑Pune expressway adheres to all safety standards and will cut travel time by 40 minutes, saving roughly one crore rupees in fuel each day.
