Shazia Ilmi calls out alleged Congress‑AAP proxy fight over flag misuse

New Delhi, 14 October – In a fiery statement, BJP spokesperson Shazia Ilmi accused Rahul Gandhi and the Congress of colluding with the Aam Aadmi Party’s proxy cadre in a covert “nura‑kushthi”. According to Ilmi, the duo is exploiting the Indian flag to mask actions that breach the law. She highlighted a reported incident where a female journalist was allegedly assaulted, using the episode to question the authenticity of Gandhi’s claim of a peaceful protest. BJP MLA Srikanth Panditarai added that demonising constitutional institutions through street demonstrations undermines democracy. The BJP’s narrative stresses that any political party must respect legal boundaries, even when raising public grievances, and calls for responsible criticism rather than reckless agitation.
