The development comes months after Sen was briefly distanced from TMC following controversial statements during the RG Kar protests. Despite earlier suspension and loss of his spokesperson position, he remained active in party events in Diamond Harbour and Nandigram. His latest comments, issued in his capacity as an office-bearer of the Indian Medical Association rather than as a TMC leader, have prompted a measured response from party spokesperson Arup Chakraborty, who clarified Sen spoke independently.
