Shakti Yadav Calls Out Government for ‘Deifying’ Education

Patna, July 20 — In an interview, RJD spokesperson Shakti Yadav accused the Bihar administration of attempting to "deify" education by mandating a saffron colour for its model schools. He said the state will not stand by any policy that turns learning institutions into symbols of any religion.

Yadav noted that colour choices have always varied and are usually decided on practical grounds. He stressed that the current decision appears politically motivated, seeking to embed a particular cultural narrative within the educational system.

With the assembly session underway, Yadav pledged that the opposition will relentlessly question the government on financial lapses, unfinished schemes, and the broader breakdown of law and order.

"Our mandate may be limited, but we will not let the ruling party push a singular agenda that undermines secular education," Yadav concluded.
