The political temperature in West Bengal is soaring ahead of assembly polls, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah turned up the heat at a packed rally in Khairasol, Birbhum. On Monday, he issued a stark warning to the TMC regime: looters of the past decade-and-a-half will not be spared.

Shah painted a grim picture of TMC’s rule, alleging a pervasive ‘cut-money’ culture that has bled the state’s people dry. ‘BJP’s government will track down these exploiters one by one and deliver exemplary justice,’ he thundered. His dramatic imagery of hanging offenders upside down underscored the intensity of his resolve.

Turning to violence against BJP members, Shah assured retribution. ‘Murderers and tormentors of our workers will be brought to book, whether they hide above ground or below,’ he said, signaling a no-holds-barred pursuit.

In a personal jab, Shah ridiculed Mamata Banerjee’s plans to crown her nephew Abhishek as successor. ‘That fantasy ends here. Bengal deserves a homegrown Bengali-speaking BJP CM,’ he countered, boosting party morale.

Immigration emerged as another flashpoint. Shah accused Mamata of patronizing infiltrators for years. ‘Our first order of business: detect and deport them all. India must be rid of this menace,’ he outlined, framing it as a national priority.

The day’s agenda continues with Shah heading to Raniganj for a rally, then a Durgapur roadshow and strategy session. Analysts see this as BJP’s blueprint to dismantle TMC’s fortress in the upcoming elections.
