Shahdev Questions CID Report on JSSC Exam Leak, Accuses Authorities of Bias

Ranchi – In a press briefing on August 19, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev challenged the CID’s earlier closure report on the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) CGLE exam. The agency had previously stated in 2025 that there was no evidence of a paper leak, a claim Shahdev says now contradicts the government’s admission of a breach.

Shahdev argued that the CID’s findings raise serious doubts about the impartiality of the investigative process. He asked why, if a leak was confirmed, no senior officials of the commission had been called for questioning, while only lower‑level personnel faced scrutiny.

Calling for an independent examination, Shahdev demanded that the CBI step in to uncover the full extent of the alleged malpractice, which he believes could involve officials from neighbouring states and could expose systemic corruption within the selection commission.
