Shah Calls for Accountability from Bhagwant Mann Government

Home Minister Amit Shah publicly challenged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, insisting that the state’s populace deserves accountability rather than rhetorical announcements. Referring to the recent surge in drug‑related deaths and the targeted killing of anti‑drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhoota, Shah questioned who will shoulder responsibility for public safety.

He asserted that the Ministry of Home Affairs will press the Punjab government for answers on both the Dirba poisoning episode and the Mansa murder. Shah emphasized that political cover for criminals must be eradicated through a transparent inquiry.

Shah also restated the BJP’s ambition to form a government in Punjab that eradicates narcotics, disrupts gangster networks, and guarantees security for every citizen. He affirmed a commitment to protect youth futures and enforce law without bias.
