Service Sankalp Campaign Launched Ahead of PM Modi’s Birthday

On the same day, the Deputy Governor announced the start of the ‘Service Sankalp’ campaign, a month‑long voluntary service drive running from 17 September to 17 October. The initiative commemorates 25 years of the Prime Minister’s public service and will host twelve programmes across the Union Territory, including a Service Day, cleanliness drives, blood‑donation camps, medical camps, tree‑planting in mothers’ names, assistance for persons with disabilities and youth‑focused events. Citizens were urged to take part actively and contribute selflessly to community welfare.
