Service Jyoti Kalash Yatra begins across Gujarat after Prime Minister's address, key officials attend
The “Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra” officially kicked off across Gujarat shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his virtual address to the nation. As the Prime Minister’s speech was relayed live from multiple departure points, local party leaders proceeded to light the “Seva Jyoti” lamps, signalling the start of the journey.
In Ahmedabad, the ceremony took place near the Riverfront House on Swami Marg‑Riverfront Road, where Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel presided. In Sabarkantha, the event was held at the New Civil Hospital Road Arts and Commerce College, with state party chief Jagdish Vishwakarma overseeing the proceedings. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi lit a lamp at the Shri Vardayini Mataji Temple in Ropal village, Gandhinagar district.
Additional senior officials—including party general secretary Anirudh Dave, Prashant Korat, Ajay Brahmbhatt, and Hiten Singh Chauhan—were dispatched to Rajkot, Surat, Ahmedabad and Vadodara to ensure seamless execution. State ministers, MPs, MLAs, party workers and local citizens are expected to join the procession in each district.
The yatra forms a symbolic continuation of the “Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,” highlighting the commitment to deliver on the promises made during Modi’s 25‑year tenure of public service and to advance the vision of a developed India by 2047.
