Service Commitment Campaign marks 25 years of Modi’s public service

Udhamsingh Nagar, October 5 – Chief Minister Pukhraj Singh Dhami highlighted the significance of the Service Commitment Campaign during a sanitation drive at Nanakmatta’s Guru Darbanga Sahib. The campaign, which kicked off on September 17 – the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi – celebrates the leader’s 25‑year record of unwavering public service.

Dhami lauded Modi’s lifelong dedication to the nation, calling him the only Indian leader to have served the country continuously for a quarter of a century. He linked the spirit of the campaign to the ongoing effort to keep sacred sites and public spaces clean, asserting that the values demonstrated by the Prime Minister should inspire citizens across the country.

The cleaning operation saw the CM work alongside volunteers, temple officials and local officials, reinforcing the message that sanitation is a shared responsibility. Dhami reiterated that Uttarakhand, as a prominent religious and tourist state, must prioritize hygiene at all public touchpoints, from transportation hubs to medical facilities.

The event concluded with the temple committee presenting a souvenir to the chief minister, symbolizing the partnership between government, religious institutions and the community in sustaining cleanliness beyond a single day.
