Senior Ministers Join Yogi Adityanath for 35 Crore Sapling Campaign

A coalition of senior political figures will converge on July 12 for Uttar Pradesh’s 35 crore sapling campaign. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will mark the occasion by planting a tree in Gorakhpur under the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. The Chief Minister’s directive calls for the event to be staged before local representatives and for the masses to partake in the greening effort. Following the order, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya is set to plant in Jhansi, Brajesh Pathak and BJP state president Pankaj Chaudhary will spearhead the Lucknow activity, and Forest Minister Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena together with Minister of State KP Malik will stand beside the Chief Minister during the Gorakhpur planting. Union ministers, among them the finance minister’s state representative and key BJP leaders, will travel to districts including Bagpat, Pilibhit, Meerut, Agra, Gonda, Badaun and Deoria to plant saplings. The drive also features participation from the chairpersons of the State Women’s Commission, SC/ST Commission, Backward Classes Commission and other statutory bodies, underscoring a multi‑layered governmental commitment to environmental restoration.
