Security Forces Thwart Attempted Attack on Sikh Leader at Hazur Sahib

While exiting the Hazur Sahib shrine, former deputy chief minister Sukbir Singh Badal was targeted by an individual in Nihang garb. The assailant's attempt was foiled by Badal's bodyguards, who neutralised the threat before any serious harm could occur. Badal suffered a minor injury to his right hand and was promptly admitted to a nearby hospital. After receiving medical care, he was declared fully fit. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of religious sites and prompted calls from Akali Dal officials for heightened security measures across all Sikh pilgrimage locations.
