Security Teams Sweep Ahmedabad Plane After Threatening Message Discovered

Following the receipt of a threatening message on a tissue paper, security agencies at Ahmedabad airport launched a comprehensive sweep of an Air India Express aircraft that had just landed from Dammam. The plane, which arrived at 4:22 p.m. local time, was moved to an isolated area where bomb disposal squads examined the fuselage, cargo hold and passenger belongings. The operation included a full headcount, verification of passenger identities and sanitisation of the aircraft.
