Security Over Temple Dispute: Ambedkar Warns Govt Must Act
Prakash Ambedkar, head of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, warned that national security must take precedence over any religious or political controversy. Referring to a recent letter from the Naha Welfare Society in Arunachal Pradesh, he said the society had approached both the state deputy commissioner and the Union Home Ministry about a ban on livestock in the Taksing area.
He added that, to date, neither the Home Ministry, Defence Ministry nor the Prime Minister’s Office has responded. With the parliamentary session set to begin, Ambedkar urged the opposition to press the government for a clear stance.
While acknowledging the ongoing debate over the Ram Temple gold issue, Ambedkar observed, "The theft alleged at the Trivandrum temple far exceeds any loss claimed at the Ram Temple. The real question is whether the temple can protect the nation. Security is paramount."
The leader said that multiple documents have already been shared with party leaders, and he expects the issue to be taken up seriously after his press briefing.
