Security Forces Deploy to Contain Violence After Deadly Kuki Community Assault

Following the deadly assault on N. Teikhang, security units from the Manipur police and the Central Armed Police Force arrived in Kangpokpi district to quell the unrest. The teams are executing house‑to‑house searches, securing the perimeters, and providing medical aid to the injured. Officials have confirmed that the incident follows a series of clashes that began in February, which have already claimed more than twenty lives across Naga and Kuki communities.
