Security Excellence Recognized as Hemkunt Trust Commends Uttarakhand ATS

The Hemkunt Sahib Trust formally acknowledged the outstanding security performance of Uttarakhand’s Anti‑Terrorist Squad on July 10 in Chamoli. The squad had been on active duty from May 19, overseeing the safety of millions of pilgrims traveling the sacred route.

Officials praised the unit for its proactive stance, high alert levels and seamless coordination with other law‑enforcement bodies. Manager Service Singh presented commendation certificates, ceremonial shawls and religious offerings to the officers, emphasizing the trust placed in their capabilities.

Sub‑Inspector Aman Deep Singh, overseeing the checkpoint operations, lauded the ATS for maintaining order and preventing any security incidents throughout the yatra’s peak days. The ATS representatives reciprocated with thanks for the assistance received from the trust, district police and the state government.

This recognition highlights the importance of specialized security forces in managing large‑scale devotional events and reinforcing confidence among pilgrims.
