Security Boost After Explosive Attack in Fuldungsei Village

The border tension heightened in May 2025 when an unknown group hurled medium‑intensity explosives at a tourism structure being built under the Swadesh Darshan scheme in Fuldungsei village, North Tripura. The blast caused extensive damage and prompted a joint police patrol by Tripura and Mizoram to secure the area.

Following the incident, additional security personnel were deployed, and both state governments reiterated their commitment to maintaining law and order while the border dispute continues to be deliberated in official channels.
