Security Agencies Deploy SOPs as Bomb Warning Hits Delhi Schools and Courts

Following the receipt of a threatening email, multiple security agencies in Delhi put their SOPs for terrorist threats into immediate action. The notice mentioned that explosives could be detonated at the Sardar Patel School, the Legislative Assembly and several district courts.

A coordinated response involving the bomb detection and disposal squad, canine units, and fire services resulted in a full perimeter lockdown of each location. Teams carried out exhaustive sweeps, employing handheld detectors and bomb‑sniffing dogs.

No suspicious material has been located, and investigators continue to probe the electronic trail of the email to determine its origin.

These measures come after earlier bomb warnings that targeted the Delhi High Court and other civic structures on August 14, prompting authorities to raise the city’s security posture in the run‑up to national celebrations.
