New Section 116 portal enables online land split applications in UP

Under the provisions of Section 116 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, a dedicated portal has been launched for land‑division requests. Co‑owners can now file a partition claim online, attach required documents, and monitor progress at the district, tehsil and clerk levels. The system displays the land’s exact geographic coordinates via Google Maps, making it easier for field officers and courts to verify claims. By digitising the Khatauni, survey maps and related records, the portal aims to accelerate dispute resolution and improve accountability among revenue officials.
