Search warrants executed across Bhubaneswar, Koraput and Kalahandi in asset‑probe
Odisha’s vigilance wing carried out simultaneous raids on July 13 at seven sites spread across Bhubaneswar, Koraput and Balangir (Kalahandi district). The operation focused on Sanjay Kumar Kispatta, once an Assistant Executive Engineer in the now‑defunct Koraput district and now an Executive Engineer with Odisha Construction Corporation Limited.
A special judge (vigilance) issued search warrants that were acted upon by a sizable police contingent: six Deputy Superintendents of Police, eight inspectors, seven assistant sub‑inspectors, and additional helpers. The properties searched included a rented hut behind Mutyalummha Temple, a four‑storey commercial edifice, an unfinished residential building, Kispatta’s ancestral home in Sundargarh, a three‑storey building under construction, as well as residential quarters and an office chamber in Bhubaneswar and Balangir.
The raids follow an earlier sweep on July 8 against Forest Ranger Ravindra Kumar Nayak of the Kendrapara Forest Range, where four of his properties were also searched under a special judge’s warrant. The vigilance team continues to gather evidence, and officials have promised further updates as the case evolves.
