Search Intensifies for Ram Prasad Ghosh Amid Nepal's Trishuli Flood Disaster

In the aftermath of the massive flooding that hit Nepal's Trishuli region on August 26, the hunt for missing Indian labourer Ram Prasad Ghosh has stepped up.

Ghosh, originally from Haider Ali Road in Ranchi, was part of the workforce at a hydro‑power camp when the deluge struck. As water levels rose and landslides blocked access routes, his location became unknown.

His family, desperate for news, approached Defence Minister Sanjay Seth on Sunday, pleading for a concerted rescue drive. The minister immediately engaged with Nepalese disaster management authorities and the Indian embassy to share information and coordinate ground searches.

Seth posted an update on social platforms, confirming that the authorities are deploying teams to the affected zone. The tragedy, which has already resulted in over 700 deaths and left more than 2,500 individuals missing, continues to affect Indian workers stationed in the region.
